Lampre Signs NECS Rider!!!!!

The recent onslaught of winter training has left several of the top European pro teams concerned about thier abilities to compete with the Dark Horse Cycles team in the Cat 5 45+ group at the upcoming Tour of the Battenkill.
Having witnessed the superior attitude and superior state of mind C-Dubs achieved during his guppy laden performance under the tutelage of Monte at the 628 challenge, a number of team members have taken up the torch (and this winter the snow shovel) and are training Monte style in the early season. Having scorched the roads of Ulster and Sullivan counties with more miles then a Tour de France, the word among the top director sportifs is that Dark Horse Cat 5 riders are a force to be reckoned with and you should pull out all the stops to sign them.
Absent from the winter training has been Top Chef (boot camp training), C-Dubs (doing his impersonation of a gerbil on the wheel with his rollers) and Braveheart (in super secret European training with Jan Ullrich).
Well it turns out that Lampre has made the first move and signed Braveheart to a spring race deal. Our stealth reports in Europe caught this shot of Braveheart after another "training" session with Jan at the local éclair shop.

I voted Monte training distance...The problem is it goes by hours not miles and no one knows how many hours it will be, only Monte. Plus coasting time is deducted so 4hrs can be 5+ if it's a lazy group. I noticed more people would rather suffer for 100m than do the monte training WTF...

Skirts, personally I would like to go Big Indian long at 138 miles and 10,000+ feet of vertical. Perhaps we can get this one in during May or June if you want.

138m? I'd have to slow to "not quite hundred mile pace" or is it a hundred mile pace for 98m then a DH40 pace? Either way....

Trade in the coasting miles for more vertical! How do espresso stops factor into Monte training?

No stops at all. If you have to pee do it on your own time, or announce "natural break" and hammer ahead (nobody will chase)then catch group as it goes by. Expresso will be handed up from the team car every 25m.
Wait! whos driving the team car???

Espresso stops with Monte, not. Fill the water bottles with iced espressos and drink on the fly. There is no rest for the weary when you go with Monte, trust me.

Hell he never rides anymore so Davidson can drive the team car and the Dictator (aka Mayor) can man the bull horn and handle the mechanics. This way no one can pester him for internet prices on the goods in the store and he can drink beer while on the road.
